"The Musikbrauerei is one of the last authentic locations in Prenzlauer Berg, the 120 year old Schneider Brewery. Tucked away between Greifswalder Strasse and the Volkspark Friedrichshain the venue is a rare building in Berlin to remain unspoiled by the tide of gentrification. It is home to select events such as the monthly Digital in Berlin Kiezsalon. Musikbrauerei’s cavernous rooms provide a perfectly atmospheric environment for intimate concerts as well as more lively party style happenings." - Dirk Markham

The journey began at the entrance. The façade of this incredible building is both impressive and terrifying, I would have probably thought I was in the wrong place would I have not lived in Berlin when I was 19 years old. You go downstairs to a basement, all bricks and stones, pass through the wardrobe, walk through empty long hallways until you reach the bottom of a spiral staircase inside of a tower. There are no signs you are going the right way, but it is the only way, so might as well. Up in the top of the tower was the venue. The show gathered a series of artists from different disciplines. Musicians, dancers and performance artist. It was a very surreal evening watching all of these incredibly talented people do what they do best. Check out some of my pictures in the gallery below.
